A book I picked up via a private shopper at the end of 2024 as I've been wanting to see more of the circle REX's r18 works. Published on April 1st of 1983 for Comiket 23 (Harumi Fairgrounds), this particular booklet features tons of important doujin artists with a production quality to match. Artists such as Ogata Satomi, Hideo Azuma and Mari Hibiki contributed to the circle's imprint, while this anthology features an afterword and editing by Beat Takeshi himself. This particular work is relatively softcore in context, but its a combination of many otaku who grew up, lived and worked alongside one another.

REX as a circle was started by Doronco/Doronko and Mari Hibiki sometime in the midst of Hibiki's own personal magazine, NORMAL, which was rather revolutionary in its production of yaoi/BL works with some high competent artists at the time, many of whom went on to be important mangaka. This particular work is important in that, at the time of its publishing, the artists were beginning to move into different directions aesthetically to appeal to the changing Comiket demographics.
