This work by The Tasaki Black Sabbath Guys (高崎サバトの連中, sometimes transliterated as Tasaki Black Sabbath Gang), which pertained of the three members Osawa Yamato (大沢やまと), Eri and Yuri, have very little documentation sans for another text I found on Mandarake (I do not own it). This group has little works that are available online and it can be surmised that they perhaps only made a handful. Its surmised that they hailed from Takasaki City in the Gunma Prefecture.

Originally published April 18th of 1981, this work does not appear to have gone to Comiket as it passed the C17 date (April 5th, 1981). More than likely sold at another event or via mail order, this work is one of the first doujins that situates Mobile Suit Gundam in the Edo era. The original story is based on Ryotaro Shiba (司馬遼太郎)'s novel Wind God's Gate (Fujin no Mon). In particular, this is not the first printing and is a revised version.

However, a peculiar thing arose when I was documenting this work - Shio Sato (Simone Yotsuya)'s The Story of the Conquest of the Country (国盗り物語), based on another Ryotaro Shiba work, hails after this book was ever published, and based on certain motifs, some aspects appear to have been stolen/plagarized from this doujin in particular. I am unable to contact the latter to confirm as to whether either artist knew one another, but its also very likely.

Simone's doujin, The Story of the Conquest of the Country, was released August 15th of the same year while The Tasaki Black Sabbath Guy's boards are dated to have been from April 1st of 1981. Its unknown as to if Shio was inspired by the work or if it was coincidental as Shio also would release Sekigahara with the circle Anime Research Group Espial for Comiket 19 on November 11th of that same year. Gate of the Wind God clearly came first.

Based on what I gathered from the actual doujinshi as well as having the physical story boards on hand, this intro was actually animated by the group, though it probably doesn't exist anymore today and should be considered lost media. This book was notably revised to include it and its existence is noted by Yuri:

"By the way, people who saw “Gate of the Wind God”—
that was my character storyboard, haha!
Sorry for the confusion!"

The group also created an anthology book based on Space Runaway Ideon with an interview with Tomonori Kogawa - I don't have this particular book as its seemingly quite rare/often sold out.
