Desperate to free himself from incorporeality, a mysterious young man pledges himself to the Outer God Nyarlathotep, and becomes his Acolyte. Sent beyond the Dream to spread chaos and corruption, he travels from world to world under the watchful eye of the Hammer of the Crawling Chaos, the corrupted Kara Zor-L. But, as he begins to experience the sensations he was denied for countless years, he has to wonder. Has he truly found freedom, or simply traded one curse for another?
